IPhone SDK: data synchronization

Question

I am looking for an overview of data synchronization methods available on the iPhone platform. We need the ability to synchronize a subset of the content from the server to the local database located on the iPhone.

In other projects that I worked on, data synchronization was handled by the database. Is it available in SQLite? If not, any suggestions on the methods? Our rolling would not be my first choice.

Unfortunately, I do not think that there is currently a tool / function that does this. A similar question was posted that refers to an article on how someone rolled back.
