I am looking for a reporting mechanism / user interface that can be integrated into a product that has a user interface in accordance with the construction of custom Google Analytics reports. Does anyone know about this?
The data in our case are not pageviews / visitors / etc., but are similar in nature, since there are limited entities or data types, but each object has many attributes / columns and many different ways of aggregating data (or in GA- style of speaking, metrics and sizes).
The analytic-style user interface is very intuitive and allows you to create many reports in a powerful way without knowing SQL.
I have a preference for a web tool (you see that this is 2010 and this is a web application - I mention only because it seems that the vast majority of reporting tools still only have a tool for creating websites).

- you can drag metrics from the sidebar into dotted rectangles - they become columns (and define the underlying objects used for the data).
- You can select sizes to add grouping.
