How can I teach that SOAP is not a reliable transport?

I need to teach that an HTTP SOAP call may be received, but the caller may not receive a response due to a network failure (among other problems). (This issue made WS-ReliableMessaging )

How will you guys demonstrate this problem to a web service developer so that they can evolve so that duplicate messages can be received?

The problem is that they do not understand that an HTTP call can be perfectly received by the server and act on the server, but the answer to the caller may be lost.
