Machine learning and line code generator

Task: a given set of categorized strings (or a set of ordered row vectors) generates a categorization function to categorize more input data. In my case, this data (or most of it) is not a natural language.

Question: are there any tools that will do this? I think of some reasonable polish, downloading, installing and transferring things, unlike some library or fragile academic program.

(Please do not dwell on the details, as real details will limit answers to less useful answers and are under the NDA.)

As an example of what I'm looking for; the input that I want to filter are the computer status bars pulled from the logs. Error messages (as an example) are filtered out based on who should be informed or what actions need to be taken.

Manual actions

If error messages are generated automatically and the list of exceptions underlying the messages is not very large, you can simply have a table that directly displays each type of error message to the people who need to be notified.
