I wanted to try Cassandra, and thought that the easiest way to get up and run would be through the command line. I was wondering if there is a good guide to using the cli tool that comes with Cassandra. I am primarily looking for options to create column families, super columns, insert sample data and query it. Not enough apache wiki documentation.
Everything that cli can do, which is not much, is contained in its online help.
$cassandra-cli CLIS Cassandra. "help" "?" . "quit" "exit", . a > ? CLI: ...
cli cql
cli cassandra-cli cql cqlsh -hlocalhost 9160
