ASP.NET MVC IIS 6 Substitution Mapping Doesn't Work

Question

I have a client that is trying to deploy the site that I created in ASP.NET MVC, they run IIS 6, and I told them how to set up group mapping to make clean URLs work.

Nonetheless; when they try to go to the site, they still don’t get the regular page that is not found. Since for some reason, wildcard matching does not work.

What could be the problem?

I had a similar problem, it turned out that it was because aspnet_isapi.dll was not resolved.
