IPhone. Can I write an application via Bluetooth to connect to a device other than the iPhone?

I developed a headset device that can connect to an iPhone (HFP + A2DP + AVRCP). I want to write an application that will also send and receive data (a few bytes) to / from the headset via Bluetooth. In fact, I want to open a Bluetooth connection between the iPhone and my data device. Is it possible?

This is only possible if you are a member of the Made for iPhone ( MFI ) program . This means that your hardware will have to follow the Apple protocol.
