JQuery resize event for children div

Question

$("div.content-left > *, div.content-main > *" ).live('resize',function(){alert("Size changed")});

does not work because the resize event applies only to window size. But in my case, divs resize late, because the content is loaded late at the request of ajax or by clicking on the panel menu. I definitely should avoid registering with all the individual children events (ajax, click), because it can be so many different events, and then it is not supported.
