I installed the development version of Crunchbang, a Linux distribution based on Debian. I installed Ruby and Rubygems, but I can’t get the gems that I installed to download. Here is the command line session:

I had previously encountered similar problems on Ubuntu, but they were easy to fix. I cannot understand what is wrong in this particular case, and Google did not seem to know either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
