I am currently running JDK 6 on Windows 7 and installing unlimited power policy files. Some time ago, I wrote a Java application that used to work, but now fails, providing an error message indicating that SHA1PRNG SecureRandom is not available. I tried to print a list of cryptographic providers available on the platform, and it turned out that there were no random number generators available. Can anyone understand why this could be?
