Creating Mozilla Spider Monkey on Ubuntu

I am trying to create a spider monkey on ubuntu 10.04 (lucid). However, when I run autoconf2.13 in the js / src directory, it tells me that there is no configure.in file. I can’t just do the usual. / configure> make> sudo make install. What about him?

In Ubuntu 10.04, the following works for me:

make BUILD_OPT=1 -f Makefile.ref

The option, apparently, is intended only for code optimization. Then I manually copy the files in which they should be used by my programs. I really need a bit, so that was easy.
