After Silverlight 4.0 was released with the new WPF, I'm a little confused about these technologies: Silverlight? WPF? Windows Form?
The main motive that we want to achieve for the BIG business project is the following:
If I look at everything above the three points, then only Silverlight is an option, because I do not want people to buy the emulator on MacOS for WPF or Windows Form.
Now, how good Silverlight is for business applications, I was completely opposed when Silverlight 2.0 was on the market, but now it is Silverlight 4.0, and they have provided many new features (but still the basics) that are required in any complex business <w> Applications
Comparison of Silverlight and WPF
- * Silverlight and WPF are a very new technology, and if I could compare the two, I would prefer WPF because it can be considered stable and mature. But it is not like Windows Form.
- * If I go with Silverlight, then I am sure that I will update the latest version of Silverlight. I remembered that when we were developing software for version 2.0, we had to create our own infrastructure with dynamic loading of DLLs, and then the concept of navigation. But that all changed after Silverlight 3.0 appeared. I do not want this to happen with this new product.
- * If we move to WPF, then we will not get platform independence.
