How can I set the name server name for the domain IP address

Question

For example, I have an example.com domain name hosted on some host, and now I want to know where the host IP address is. therefore, I cannot configure the registrar control panel to point to this IP address. So is there any way to find out what IP is without setting up a name server to point to it. and I know the hosting name server. e.g. ns1.hosting.com

can I ask to specify ns1.hosting.com to get the IP example.com

You ask, can you find the hostname on a specific name server? On a * nix / OSX computer, you can run it dig @ns1.hosting.com example.com ain a terminal window.

Windows nslookup server ns1.hosting.com example.com.
