Just some general and specific questions about starting a business that uses open source software and sells training, services and other value-added solutions using open source assets (software, infrastructure, package, solution).
How many changes do you need to make for an existing open source software / framework to create your own brand? Problems with the release of Open Source (GPLv3) here ... copyright and trademark issues, as well ..... for example) Mambo and Joomla, I think they are almost the same? But they have different labels. In particular, my concern is how to avoid trademark and copyright infringement when promoting open source assets? Is it better to just re-mark the open source resource with my own?
Is there a flaw in promoting open source software / framework / package in the hope of selling added services and solutions on top of open source assets?
Can open source assets become a marketing point to lower total cost of ownership and transparency? So customers will not use some mysterious, opaque property asset?
Is the competition fierce? The cost of developing software does not exist because you are using an open source asset. Is the entry barrier minimal?
