Side alert only . I'm not sure if I should post this on serverfault, because some MOSS administrator might have some info for me?
Additional note 1 : I found this document (integration of Asp.net MVC 2 and Sharepoint) if someone with sufficient experience is ready to comment on its contents, whether it can be used in my described scenario or not.
Additional note 2 . I discovered (later) that Silverlight is supported in Sharepoint 2010, so I am considering this too. Therefore, if someone comments on Silverlight integration, as well.
A bit of explanation first (without Asp.net MVC / Silverlight)
Is it possible to integrate the two? Is it possible to write an application that will transmit at least credentials using MOSS?
I need to write a MOSS application that is related to these technologies:
- MOSS 2010
- Personal client authentication (most likely with USB keys)
- Active Directory Federation Service
- A separate SQL database that will serve specific application data (separately as being not part of MOSS DB)
How should this work?
- Users must authenticate using personal certificates in MOSS 2010
- There will be a specific part of MOSS that will be associated with my user application
- This application should only allow authorization of certain users using the AD FS service. I think these users should have a certain security requirement attached to them.
