SilverLight: Game Programming for Kids

Is it possible for children with only HTML / CSS programming experience to do game programming in SilverLight 4.0?

They use the version of Visual Web Developer 2010 Express.

Do they need to learn C # or any other language since they are just getting started?

thank

What age are you talking about? I guess if you had really smart kids, they could pick up SilverLight 4.0, but yes, learning C # for logic and XAML for the GUI would be required.

Ergo, my recommendation is to skip SilverLight according to your requirements.

They will need to learn C #, yes. You can do many visuals using declarative XAML markup, but the logic will be controlled by C # code.
