What does an "affine object" mean?

What does an "affine object" mean? For example, there are pools of flows of affine objects. Although I understand both thread pools and affine transforms in mathematics, I cannot think of an association between them.

Do you think about affinity ? If so, I suggest that what this means with respect to threads is that certain threads will be associated with a set of cetain resources, for example, for an example processor or kernel, they may not be redirected to another set of resources. This may allow certain low-level optimizations, such as the maximum number of L1 cache views.
