Silverlight and Search Engines

Question

I recently started studying SilverLight (and the development of web technologies in general) and was pleased with the friend that SilverLight is not friendly with the search engine (since Silverlight is not HTML). Is there any way around this and get my site on search engine listings (no charge)?

(Any advice on getting my site on search engine listings would be greatly appreciated).
