Code Coverage Tool for BlackBerry

Question

I am looking for a coverage code tool that I can use with a BlackBerry app. I use the J2ME-Unit for unit testing, and I want to see how much my code covers my tests.

I tried using Cobertura for J2ME , but after several days of fighting it, I could not get any results from it. (I believe the toolkit was not compiled by RAPC). And, despite this message , the project seems dead.

I looked at JInjector , but the project seems very incomplete. There is little (if any) documentation, and although it claims to be able to work with BlackBerry projects, I have not seen any places where it was used for this purpose. I played with the project quite a bit, but to no avail.

I also tried viewing "Coverage" in JDE BlackBerry, although I use Eclipse for development. The view remains the same regardless of clicking Refresh and starting the application from JDE.

I reviewed most of the tools in this SO thread , but they will not work with J2ME / BlackBerry projects.

Has anyone had any success with any BlackBerry code coverage tools? If so, what tools did you use? How did you use them?

If someone managed to get JInjector or Cobertura for J2ME to work with the BlackBerry project, what did you need to do to get it working?

I can’t speak for Coberatura or JInjector because I don’t know how they collect probe coverage data.

What is critical is how this data will be captured (do you need Java runtime support, available only in standard Java virtual machines?) And how it is exported to coverage display / reporting tools.
