How to apply a shake effect to a dialog with a built-in form

I am new to this, I am trying to apply a shaking effect to a dialog box that has an inline form but is not successful.

When I try to trigger an effect

$ ("# restore_password"). Effect ("shake", {times: 3}, 80);

only those fields inside the form tag take effect, but the dialog itself does not.

$(...).dialog(...); creates a new element without id.

eg.

<div id="testingDiv">...</div>

becomes

<div style="..." class="..." tabindex="..." role="dialog" aria-labelledby="ui-dialog-title-testingDiv">
    ...
    <div id="testingDiv">...</div>
    ...
</div>

So your code is working. What you need to do is set up a dialog div, for example.

$('div[aria-labelledby=ui-dialog-title-testingDiv]').effect("shake", {times: 3}, 80);
