PHP session corruption

Using the Symfony framework 1.4 I created a website. I use sfguard for authentication.

Now it works fine on WAMP (windows). I can log in to multiple accounts in different browsers and use the website.

I have an ubuntu 9.10 server working with apache (everything is up to date and the default setting). On my server, when I visited the site in one browser, it works fine. When I log in on my other computer with a different user account on a public website, the login will be successful. But when I refresh / switch to another page, the first user is displayed as registered instead!

Also, when I click logout, it does not show that I am logged out after loading the page. When I press f5 again, I am logged out.

As already mentioned, all this works, as expected, with my local installation. I think something is wrong with my PHP session configuration on my ubuntu server, but I never touched it.

Please help me. This is a school project, and I present it today :(
