How to remove title in LaTex

I would like the title of each chapter not to appear in the title of each page. I also like it when the headings do not contain anything for the resume, confirmation, table of contents, list of figures and list of tables. But currently I have a title on every page, for example:

alt text

Thanks and all the best!

EDIT:

I just replaced \ thispagestyle {botcenter} with \ thispagestyle {plain}. It is said that the latter clears the header ( http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/Page_Layout ), but it is not. What do i do?

Thank!

EDIT:

Now I just realized that it could be a fancy page style that shows the title.

\pagestyle{fancy}
\fancyhf{}
\setlength{\headheight}{15pt}
\lhead{\leftmark}
\cfoot{\thepage}
\renewcommand{\headrulewidth}{0pt}
\fancypagestyle{plain}{% Redefine ''plain'' style for chapter boundaries
\fancyhf{} % clear all header and footer fields
\fancyfoot[C]{\thepage} % except the center
\renewcommand{\headrulewidth}{0pt}
\renewcommand{\footrulewidth}{0pt}}
