Why doesn't Silverlight support IME?

In Silverlight (prior to version 4), if you set the property of windowlessthe sl plugin to true, you cannot get IME support in the text box. Does anyone know why? is it a security issue or something else?

I believe this browser limitation is not SL, the same problem for flash with wmode = transparent. Since windowless allows you to display html on top of the SL object, you can, as a workaround, float the iframe containing the html input field above the SL input field and when you enter a keypress event in your html input box, call the SL function to take the text.
