We have a Windows Forms application running on XP that uses WIA to extract images from digital cameras connected to our laptops. Uncomfortable, like COM wrappers and APIs, they reliably processed millions of images. Now let's look at the inevitable migration to Win 7 and wonder if we should switch from WIA to the WPD API (Windows Portable Devices).
Does anyone have any experience migrating from WIA to WPD? Or just work with WPD? Any pros or cons of staying WIA or moving to WPD? Thanks in advance!
