Google Analytics - Funnel Target Funnels

Is there a way to check the URL that you enter in this step to see if Google Analytics recognizes it?

What I would like to do is provide some kind of webpage or web service with a url and get a pass or fail. It passes if Google Analytics recognizes the hit of the page in the URL.

Let me give you some context.

We are having problems with our Google Analytics funnel steps. Instructions for adding steps tell you not to use a domain.

eg.

DO NOT use: http://www.mysite.com/step1.html

Using INSTEAD: /step1.html

Our custom CRM uses friendly URLs, and as a result, GA has difficulty picking them up. Therefore, we experimented with changing the URL that we set in this step, however we need to wait one day to see if the new url we provided will work! Therefore, why are we looking for something faster.

OK, so you do this with friendly URLs to see what is being tracked (so you can distinguish one URL from another), but you don't want to wait?

There are several Firefox plugins that report status on the GA page (WASP and Observepoint), but the Firebug Net panel is just as good as everyone.
