Change keyboard layout in application focus

As everyone knows, a keyboard in the USA is best for programming. Therefore, I would like to use it in my IDEs. But since I live in a country outside the US, I need a de-CH layout for all other applications. Now I am wondering if it is possible to set the layout depending on which application currently has focus. If possible, can the human brain adapt to such behavior or is it just confusing?

The operating system is Windows 7, and the IDE is VisualStudio and Netbeans

Microsoft Layout Creator (MSKLC)

I used my current keyboard as a base and modified only a few keys so as not to always twist the right finger of my right hand when I want to get braces for curls {}

It works very well in combination with short cut to switch keyboard layouts. You can define such a shortcut in your language settings.
