MSDeploy publishes via FTP

Question

I would like to use MSDeploy, mainly for packaging and synchronization support. I use MSBuild with TeamCity to automate publishing when I merge with the main branch in git.

Unfortunately, this does not look like the recipient has IIS (as well as the installation service). So my best option is FTP. Does MSDeploy support FTP as a publishing method? Or am I stuck using the _CopyWebApplication target and the MSBuild community task for FtpUploadDirectoryContent?
