How to set Sharepoint by default as a data table for a specific list?

Create a new view from the Settings / Create View menu. Select "Datasheet View" as the view format, and then check the "Make this the default" option.

Alternatively, if the correct view already exists, select the "View from list" screen and check the "Make this the default" option.
