What are the benefits of mvc jquery validation?

What benefits, if any, does MVC jQuery Validation perform when validating an embedded MVC client?

I used the built-in check, and I'm just wondering if I am missing something or not.

How about customization? I am sure that not everything is covered by standard validators.

For example, our products are intended for people over 14 years old, so it’s good to check this client side, and not connect the server with stupid requests.

Then you can share it and have a standard way of checking DOB.
