How to install icon for Mac OS X Bundle?

Question

I am trying to set an icon for my application in xCode. In info.plist I wrote:

<key>CFBundleIconFile</key>
<string>icon</string>

Icon

- icon icon.icns file 57X57 in resources.

But finally, the bundle does not contain an icon. When I click on an application item in the menu bar, a window appears with my icon.

What's wrong?

Try <string>icon.icns</string>

EDIT: icns file is not a simple png file; see here . You can use the Icon Composer.appincluded in the Apple Xcode Developer Tools ( /Developer/Utilities). convert icon file to icns format; just drag the file to the window area.
