LaTeX symbol under nabla

Question

In LaTeX with \ displaystyle, if I do something like:

\sum_{i=0}

then i = 0 appears under the giant sigma. It's good.

Now if I do this (also in \ displaystyle)

\nabla_{x}

x means it does not appear under nabla. He appears in the lower right. How can I make it appear under nabla?

\mathop{\nabla}\limits_{x}

Have you tried \mathop?

\mathop{\nabla}_{x}
