Is [DataMember] byte in WCF contract a security risk?

Am I exposing my service to a buffer overflow attack? If so, how would you defend yourself against this?

Just my own understanding: no, managed code is not prone to overflow attacks, and unmanaged parts of the transport channel deal with byte arrays anyway.
