Alternative Open Source for WebEx WebOffice?

I have a client who used WebOffice (from WebEx) for many tasks in his small organization. The problem is that they really need a small subset of WebOffice features (contact list, database, and document repository).

They asked me to develop a website dedicated to these three functions, with the rationalization that this should be more economical, because they currently do not use many of the WebOffice functions for which they pay.

What are some open source alternatives I could implement for them? Sharepoint sounds like it will be too bloated, and Google Apps may not be as collaborative as we would like.

We looked at sharepoint and went like "meh". Any interesting thing you want to do with it requires prohibitive licensing, and if you put any piece of it on the Internet, then the cost will simply delete any budget.

We are piloting the deployment of Alfresco , KnowledgeTree is also a very worthy option, IMO. As for the main site, something like OpenAtrium looks pretty decent and flexible, without much configuration. OpenAtrium is based on Drupal .

Webex WebOffice does not update after 5 years and Webex does not go without a migration path (confirmed on their forums), so I could exit it as soon as possible.

With the addition of Wave to Google Apps, this would seem to be a much more economical and modern replacement.
