Remove click sound from Winform WebBrowser?

Does anyone know how to remove the "click" sound that you get when you go to another page when using WebBrowser in WinForm? I would think that they would enable the option to choose whether you want to enable it, but they did not.

I know this a bit later, but here is the solution I used:

I used this link suggested by Jørn Schou-Rode in a comment. It worked fine for me and did not require any mess in the control panel, which is great if you want it to be the same for every user who uses the program.

This is a sound option available only in the Windows Control Panel:

Control Panel> Sounds and Audio Devices> Sounds>Start Navigation

Set the sound to (No)

EDIT : I realized that you can ask if there is a software way to mute click sound; the answer will be no . Like other posters, the WebBrowser control uses the IE engine, so it uses the IE settings.

I suspect you will find that it is an IE browser browser, as indicated in the Windows sound settings. Since the control uses the IE browser engine, perhaps this is not something you can change programmatically without affecting user preferences.

You can prove it quite simply by playing in the control panel ...
