Ajaxify multipart encoded form (download forms)

Is there any way to do this? I'm not looking for an alternative plugin (like FancyUpload or Uploadify), I just want to know how I can change the upload form submission.

Valums Ajax Upload

This is one of the only available cleaners available . It takes advantage of the latest browser technologies, but also significantly degrades working with older browsers (e.g. IE 6) using the iframe method.

I used this solution and was very pleased with the results.
