How to access video output features in iOS?

Applications such as Netflix have the ability to play video from the dock connector when connecting a video connector. Do applications have the ability to display arbitrary data on video? Or is the video player the only iOS component that can do this? If the first is possible, how can I access the video for your application?

To extract the video, place the window on the screen returned [[UIScreen screens] objectAtIndex:1];. Call window.screen = theScreenin the window that you have already created to assign it to the screen "TheScreen".
