We are going to automate the number of processes for our report group. (Reports are similar to daily reports, weekly reports, monthly reports, etc.)
Basically, the process is similar to extracting some data from an oracle, and then filling it in, in particular, Excel template files.
Each report and so their templates are different from each other. With the exception of manipulating excel files, there is hardly any business logic.
The client wanted an integrated tool, and all automated processes were placed as a menu / submenu.
Now about 30 processes are waiting to be automated. And we expect new reports in the next quarter.
I have practically no practical experience anywhere when we come to archiving. I already support two or three systems (there are more than 4 years of them). for this prestigious customer. The likelihood of the aforementioned tool will be manintained for another 3 years, very likely.
From my past experience, I experienced pain when implanting change requests to the original and undocumented code base, which led to the destruction of the system, and then myself.
So, my main and biggest problem is security.
When I searched for them, I came across this link.
