How to implement widgets for translation and rotation for the game level editor

I am developing a game editor. To detect a mouse hit in a 3D model, I use the mouse concept. But I want to implement widgets for translation and rotation, such as another game editor, with the actual arrows in the center of the model in three directions. How to achieve this ..? Can anyone suggest some sample code for the same?
