Can I use NHibernate SysCache with a non-web application?

I have a Windows service that uses NHibernate (3) and SQL Server 2008. WPF clients connect through WCF to this service to use DataAccess. Now my question is: can I use SysCache or SysCache2 in this scenario - or can they only be used in Web / ASP.NET applications?

Yes, it works fine.

You can use it even in a console application if you want (if the computer has the full .NET Framework installed, and not just the client profile).
