Removing and animating a GridView row - Android

Question

I have a gridview in which each row has a custom look. The grid view adapter has an array that preserves the user view.

When I click a button, I want to remove a specific row from the Grid, and in doing so I want an animation on it. I have an AnimationListener.

When I remove the top line from the array and set the adapter to onAnimationEnd (). It works great. But when I delete any other line, it gives a NullPointerException in the main thread.
