International keyboard and UITextField safe option

Question

I have a UITextField in a .xib file with a safe option marked YES. I have several international keyboards on my device. If the safe parameter is set to NO, I have no problem using all international keyboards on my device, but when it is set to Yes, I can only use the English keyboard.

Is there a way of an option that I can use to enable this function, or will I need to do it manually (do not mark the safe option and replace the text that the user enters with *)?
