My C # .NET application is slower when exe is online

My C # .NET application is much slower when exe is online.

And I'm talking about everything, even graphical dispatching is slower. For example: when the form is already loaded, if I disconnect my network cable and minimize and maximize the window, it will take a very long time to redraw (whether the cable is connected or not).

I am using the .NET 3.5 SP1 framework.

Any idea on the reason?

My hypothesis so far:

  • Am I missing some options when creating an application?
  • my corporate antivirus checks more things because exe is online.
  • Windows XP SP3 cache does not work as soon as exe is online.
  • server - Novell server: maybe this is changing something?

Thank you for your help!
