Rails ActionMailer Plugin for TLS Encryption

Can someone point me to a plugin / direction to enable email through an SMTP server requiring encryption? I did some searches and found http://agilewebdevelopment.com/plugins/actionmailer_tls , but the download does not work, the pattern is repeated also with several other plugins.

If you use at least Ruby 1.8.7, you do not need plugins, you just need to configure ActionMailer to use TLS by putting it :enable_starttls_auto => truein config.action_mailer.smtp_settings.
