Refining GridView Events

Recently I was asked an interview question "What is the order of events in the GridView?".

I explained

  • Init ()
  • Loading()
  • DataBinding ()
  • DataBound ()
  • Rowcreated
  • .... User interaction events such as RowCommand, RowDeleting, RowUpdating
  • PreRender -executes every time a GridView changes
  • unload ()

I would like to check if my answer is right or not.

The following list was obtained by creating an event handler for all events available in the Gridview design mode in VS.Net and placing the following in the handler:

Debug.WriteLine("EventName");

Inits

DataBinding

Rowcreated

Rowdatabound

DataBound

load

(Action Events) (i.e - SelectedIndexChanging, SelectedIndexChanged)

PreRender
