Hg convert from cvs broke branches

I converted the old cvs repository to Mercurial through hg convert. It would seem that everything is in order (at least with the default branch), but in all functional branches there are no files that have not been changed in the branch. is there any way to fix this?

I am using version 1.5, the conversion was done through hg convert cvs/checkout newrepo.

You are probably better off using cvs2svn for conversion, as it has much more “knowledge” built into it for strange corner cases. Then you can run hg convert in the resulting SVN repository. This is what the Mercurial Wiki recommends when things go wrong.
