Creating a site for logging in to the mirror Facebook login

I noticed that the Huffington Post does this: if you log out, it forces you to log out of Facebook, and if you log in to Facebook and return to Huffington Mail, it automatically logs you there. Is this a direct use of the FB Connect API that I just didn't notice, or is there some kind of trick?

I think you are looking for something like fb: login-button , which is part of Facebook-connect. When users log in with this feature, it associates their facebook account with your site.

Using the connect wizard , you can customize what your button does and explains how to manually add additional features to the button.

Here is an example of how to use it:
