Where can I find a good definition of software design?

I browsed for 2 hours all over the Internet, I found courses with modules on software designs, but without a clear definition, only hints of what it is.

As far as I understand the definition, this is an object that can be defined for the purpose, for example, a TCP / IP connection uses a port that is a software construct.

Can someone call me a complete definition or give me a more reliable one?
