Z-index does not affect IE7 using Google Map and navigation submenus

I feel the problem is extremely obvious. I am working on a problem with a client site, which is actually happening on several sites of my clients, but this is most obvious. IE7 refuses to obey z-index rules. I played with different values, especially divs #mapWrapper and #map. Take a look here: http://thepaysongroup.com/wp-content/plugins/hq_idx/searchlistings.php

I have done dozens of web searches, and I cannot find anything to solve this problem. I also prepared for the publication of Aleksandar Vatsich about the z-index IE6 / 7 inconsistencies, but still nothing. Any help would be much appreciated, I will rip my hair on it.

Ok, I figured it out. So the main navigation is in div #header with position: relative and z-index. As soon as I put the z-index in the title, a menu appeared right in front of the map.

I think that the lesson here is the search for each element with a certain position, whether absolute or relative, and how it interacts with the elements in question.

In my experience, wonky z-index in IE. It is especially important to set it to 0, so make sure 0 is not one of your z-index values.

Sometimes the easiest solution is to change the original html order: everything that appears later in the source will be on top. Is this possible in your case?
