Are there debugging symbols for Sharepoint?

Is it possible to debug problems with things like wsstracing? Or is it a showdown I can get?

MOSS 2007 SP2.

Try Microsoft Public Symbol Server . If Sharepoint characters do not exist, the next best option is to install Windows Server debugging from an MSDN subscription and receive characters from it.

The actual character server is at this URL . However, it is not visible in the browser, it is only useful in WinDbg.

.NET Reflector now has a version of "Pro" that allows you to go through and debug almost any third-party assembly, including SharePoint assemblies (with the exception of confusing code).

I actually just downloaded it today and it looks really good! It integrates with Visual Studio and does not change when you switch from your own code to the SharePoint assembly code.
