Recover entire page on callback?

In asp.net, is this a requirement to rebuild the entire page during each callback? For example, my web page is divided into three separate areas, and I have an update panel for each area. Suppose I want to update the third area, do I need to worry about any processing of the other two areas?

For example, suppose there is a grid in area two. Update pane in three callbacks to update content. Do I need to reinstall the grid in area two?

Thank,

Aj

"UpdateMode" "" UpdatePanels, , , - "" .

"UpdateMode" "" , . (FWIW UpdatePanel. UpdatePanel, - , .Update() )
